I Prevail show True Power with this release

Great album from I Prevail, who continue the more mainstream sound from their prior album but use more loud guitars in this. A couple of songs sound reminiscent of Linkin Park's Meteora sound (Visceral sounds like it has the distorted guitars of Lying From You). Fans of their 1st album (who disliked their 2nd record) might want to give this a shot but may not like the lack of metalcore breakdowns in this one as this album is more of a hard rock/alternative metal album with a good amount of electronics. It does have its heavy moments (Choke and Body Bag) and has more of a heavy rock breakdown feel. However, this should appeal to newer fans. Some really catchy songs though with some amazing clean vocals, good rapping and awesome unclean vocals. This one feels more like a fresh take from their last album and stands out more to me. Stand out tracks are There's Fear In Letting Go, Body Bag, Bad Things, Fake, Judgement Day, Choke and Visceral. However, the entire album flows well from start to finish and concludes with the ballad, Doomed. Overall, a fun album to listen to and comes with a signed insert, which is always nice to add to the collection of other autographs from other bands.
